Swipey AI is a browser-based companion app run by INVAI LTD in Nicosia, mixing an AI girlfriend builder with a swipeable feed, live video characters and a reward game built around hearts. I went through its pricing page, help center and policies today instead of signing up. Premium is listed at $7.99 a month with a 200-heart allowance, low for the category, yet nearly every extra beyond text is metered.
How a companion is put together
Swipey works with three kinds of partner. Platform Models are the house characters, Verified Creator Models are digital versions of real creators who opted in and passed an Ondato identity check, while Custom AI covers anything you design from scratch. The builder opens with a realistic or anime style, then asks for ethnicity, age, body, hair and eyes before it turns to character. Seven personality presets are on offer, from Sweetheart and Playful to Dominant and Mean, each tagged with its own spice level, followed by an occupation, a voice and the scene where the story begins.
Whatever you build stays private: the help pages say custom characters get no public profile and never appear in discovery. The ready-made profiles carry more detail than most. The one I opened, Hina, gives a stated age of 25 along with height, body type, eye colour, a personality label and a job, and the page title is marked 18+. Homepage filters are limited to a handful of tags such as Real babes, AI and MILF, so browsing is quick but not very deep.
What the chat is meant to feel like
No chat was opened for this review, so this section relies on the help center and landing pages. The text side is sold as uncensored for adults, with stories that can open in a setting and situation of your choosing or run as free-form roleplay. With Premium, every conversation gets its own relationship ladder of fifteen steps, from Teasing up to Ultimate, and reaching a new step unlocks a reward clip. A small three-heart counter in the chat measures meaningful messages, and the FAQ stresses that it is free progress, separate from your paid balance.
Memory also sits behind Premium. The Memories feature keeps the moments the companion judges important, and you can browse them, jump to the original message or delete any of them, a level of control many rivals skip. Free accounts hit a cap quickly, and even the cap is muddled: the terms allow 'up to five (10) messages' before the paywall, while the landing pages just say a limited number. Premium lifts the message limit completely.
Calls, pictures and video scenes
Voice calls are a Premium feature that works with every type of companion. You ring from the phone icon inside a chat, and the per-minute charge in hearts is displayed once, before your first call, and not again, an odd way to present a running cost. After you hang up, a Call Memory card records how long it lasted, a full transcript and any photos or clips she sent while you talked.
Pictures need Premium too. You choose a character you already talk to, describe the pose, outfit and setting, and her profile is supposed to keep the same face and body from one render to the next, in realistic or anime style, with every image billed in hearts. Video works through the chat: ask for a scene and a short clip arrives, which can be stretched in steps of 5, 10, 20, 30 and finally 60 seconds. Show More pays for one step at a time, while Full Show skips to the end at a reduced price but is limited to Premium. A Make me move button animates a photo she sent, with the heart price printed on it.
Live mode, Duels and the reward loop
The live layer is what sets Swipey apart. In Play With Me, found in the Live section, a selected platform character stays on full-screen video while you type over her, or you switch to an action menu and she performs what you choose in a short clip. A few actions cost nothing, others take hearts, and the most explicit ones open up as the relationship level rises or with Premium. Duels set two characters against each other for five rounds, with heart-paid gifts deciding who performs next, and the terms also mention private live rooms with models paid from the monthly allowance.
Wrapped around all of this is a mobile-game loop: a swipeable feed of AI photos and clips, a daily heart reward that grows with your streak, daily and permanent quests, account XP and a prize wheel. The company says its builders come from mobile games, and the design makes that obvious. Some will enjoy it, but it keeps pulling you back toward the heart shop, and the free daily hearts are kept for paying members.
What it really costs
Only one price is public today. The pricing page shows Premium at $7.99 a month, covering unlimited chat, calls, image and video generation, full access to creator models, one Fanclub and the daily hearts. The help center says three plans exist, one month, three months and a year, with the yearly option cheapest per month, but neither longer plan showed a price on any page I read. The generator page and the terms both set the monthly allowance at 200 hearts, which the terms call tokens.
Hearts are where the real spending happens. They cover call minutes, video steps, live actions, creator photos and clips, and tips. Packs come in several sizes from the balance shown in the top bar, again with no public price list. On the plus side, hearts you buy never expire while the account stays open and do not depend on Premium, though deleting the account wipes them. You can pay by Visa, Mastercard or crypto (BTC, ETH, USDC and LTC), and subscriptions renew automatically.
Cancelling takes one click under Settings, Premium runs until the paid period ends, and custom characters plus past chats survive the cancellation. Refunds are murkier. The terms call every purchase final unless the law says otherwise, while the help article promises a human review of each request and names accidental or duplicate charges as good reasons to ask. Write to support before filing any chargeback, since the terms allow suspension for disputing a valid charge.
- Premium, monthly: $7.99, with 200 hearts and one Fanclub
- 3-month and yearly plans: named in the FAQ, no public price
- Heart packs: several sizes, no public price list
- Free tier: builder, feed, gallery and a small message allowance, no card needed
Privacy, age checks and billing
Swipey is run by INVAI LTD, a Cyprus company registered as HE 458964 with an office in Strovolos, Nicosia, and Cypriot law and courts govern the terms. Every visitor confirms being an adult at the door and again at checkout. People in the UK, or treated as being there because their location is unclear, must pass an Ondato selfie check with an ID document as fallback, and Swipey says it only receives the result. Bank statements show a neutral company name, and purchase emails are kept just as plain.
The content rules are firm where it matters: no uploading your own images, no lookalikes of real people who never agreed to it and nothing involving anyone under 18, enforced through blocked terms, model refusals and staff review of flagged material, voice calls included. Data handling is the weak spot. The FAQ says Delete Profile erases chats, companions and personal data, yet the privacy policy says personal information is usually kept for six years after an account closes. That policy also allows analytics and third-party targeting cookies, and the terms let revised versions take effect the moment they are posted.
Pros and cons
What works
- Premium listed at $7.99 a month with 200 hearts and one creator Fanclub included
- Free tier with the builder, the feed and a few messages, no card required
- Builder covers realistic or anime looks, seven personality presets, occupation, voice and an opening scene
- Voice calls with saved transcripts, video scenes up to 60 seconds and a live Play With Me mode
- Bought hearts do not expire while the account is open, and account deletion is self-serve
- Neutral bank descriptor, card or crypto payment, and an Ondato age check for UK users
What does not
- Calls, video steps, many live actions and creator content cost hearts, at rates the public pages never list
- Only the monthly price is public; the longer plans and the heart packs have no listed price
- Policies contradict each other on free messages, refunds and how long personal data is kept
- Streaks, quests, Duels gifts and a prize wheel are built to keep you spending
- Flagged chats and voice calls can be reviewed by staff, and third-party targeting cookies are allowed
Verdict
Swipey AI packs more into $7.99 a month than most companion apps: a detailed builder, calls, video scenes, a live mode and creator Fanclubs. The catch is that nearly every extra is metered in hearts at rates the public pages never state, and the policies disagree with each other on free messages, refunds and data retention. It suits adults who enjoy a game loop and will watch their heart balance. Anyone who wants a flat price, or who expects deleted data to be truly gone, should read the privacy policy first or look elsewhere.
Our score: 3.6/5
